As she started talking about the record-breaking album 25, she explained how she had lost confidence when she became a mother.
She then got even more choked up as she looked towards Beyonce and said she should have won the award.
"I couldn’t possibly accept this award,” Adele began.

She went on: “I’m very humbled and very grateful and gracious but my life is Beyonce, and the album to me, the Lemonade album, was just so monumental and so well thought out and so beautiful, and so soul bearing.
“We all got to see another side of you that you don't always let us see, and we appreciate that."
"All of us artists f**king adore you. You are our light. And the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves. And I love you. I always have. And I always will."
Overcome with emotion, Adele, 35, was seen with tears streaming down her face as she shook her head and added: “I love you,” back to her.
