The 49-year-old model and actress has been seen visiting Julian in the Ecuadorian Embassy, sparking rumours of a romance.
Pamela brought up her friendship with the 45-year-old political activist during a chat with the daytime TV show panel about her loving nature.
She explained: “I care about vulnerable people. I was just at the refugee camp in Calais. I’m always doing something, trying to do something every day.
“And befriending people that are important in the world, like Julian Assange.”

Jane Moore interjected and asked Pamela if she would tell the audience what she talked to Julian about on her visits.
Without fully answering, she said: “He’s a very important person and history will look back on him and realise how important he is, and WikiLeaks is very heroic and it’s true news.
"It’s hard to find these days and if you want to get something from the horse’s mouth then you go to WikiLeaks and you can really find out what’s going on.
"I think that’s important in this political climate."

According to the Daily Mail, Pamela's has made six visits to the embassy in the past five months.
Julian is wanted for questioning in Sweden over a rape allegation which dates back to 2010, though he has avoided extradition by living in the embassy since June 2012.
Pamela's friendship with Julian first came to light in September 2014 when the mother-of-two set up a meeting to try to persuade him to back her new foundation, which supports women who are victims of sexual abuse.
