Brendan Rodgers wants to keep Chelsea target Craig Gordon at Celtic

Chelsea want to bring Gordon to Stamford Bridge this month.

The Scottish international has been lined up as a replacement for Asmir Begovic.

Begovic, who is the Blues’ No 2 behind Thibaut Courtois, has been linked with a move to Bournemouth.

And now Celtic boss Rodgers has revealed the Scottish champions have rejected a bid for their goalkeeper.

Rodgers said: "There has been an offer but nothing that we would [make us] even think about moving him.

"He is a player very much part of what we want to do.

“He has 18 months left on his contract and I want to keep him here to build a team around.

"We have no interest in selling him."

Gordon is out of contract in the summer, but the Hoops have the option to extend his deal until June 2018.
