Witnesses reported hearing what sounded like gunfire at Rue Vernet – located near the location of the shooting earlier this evening.
Confusion surrounds exact details as police scramble to several locations across the French capital.
Reuters news agency have reported this second incident nearby the scene of the first shooting, which occurred at Champs Elysees.

At least one person has died in Paris this evening
One gunman was killed while another is believed to be on the run. Police have now raided the dead gunman's home in the east of the city.
The second attacker came from Belgium by train, according to officers who have issued a warrant for his arrest.
Witnesses said the pair had targeted a police vehicle parked at a red light using Kalashnikovs.
A witness named Chelloug said: “I came out of the Sephora shop and I was walking along the pavement where an Audi 80 was parked. A man got out and opened fire with a kalashnikov on a policeman.

“The policeman fell down. I heard six shots, I was afraid. I have a two year-old girl and I thought I was going to die… He shot straight at the police officer."
Tourists fled into side streets as the shooting took place. Officers are now evacuating people from the area.

Police are not ruling out a terror attack although the interior minister said it was too early to speculate.
