Carlos was part of the 'Galacticos' era at Real Madrid alongside the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, David Beckham and Raul.
The Brazilian won three Champions Leagues trophies and four La Liga titles during his time at the Bernabeu.
Carlos ended his 11-year stay at Madrid in 2007 and decided on a surprise move to Fenerbahce but insists he nearly joined Chelsea.

"I spoke to Roman Abramovich about it," Carlos told Sky Sports. "We had a meeting in Paris but it didn't happen due to a few small factors.
"I watch the Premier League every weekend. I think it's fantastic.
"One thing you notice is that the teams considered small are capable of surprising the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and City.

Roberto Carlos opted to join Fenerbahce
"There are so many great players in the Premier League and of course the big teams are always the favourites, but the teams below them also play good football. The mixture of foreign and English players works really well.
Carlos admits to always keeping an eye on the Premier League results with so many Brazilians on show, but revealed he speaks to one star in particular.
"I love English football because it's real football," the 43-year-old added. "I love everything that surrounds it. The public, the atmosphere, the preparation.
"I always speak to Willian from Chelsea before his games - he loves it here."
