ARK Survival Evolved update TODAY for PC with patch notes - PS4 and Xbox One dated
A NEW ARK Survival Evolved update is being released today on PC with patch notes, while launches and release dates have also been confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One.

The new ARK Survival Evolved update releases today
The new ARK Survival Evolved update is a major one, with Studio Wildcard confirming that it will be the biggest the game has ever seen.
ARK Survival Evolved PS4 and Xbox One versions will not be updated today, instead fans will need to wait until February 14 to get the new gear.
New power armor sets are the main centrepiece, which will be available to craft through the new Tek Tiers.
Speaking to Gamespot, Studio Wildcard have confirmed that these provide new abilities such as Tek Vision, identify enemies, players, and creatures.
There will also be night vision and the useful Tek Boots, which remove fall damage and let you scale cliffs just by walking on them. There are a number of other items, such as rifles, jetpacks and gauntlets, which will all be part of the fleshed out endgame.

It’s next level stuff and something the ARK community have been waiting for some time.
The only way to manufacture this new stuff is by defeating bosses and grabbing element, which is dropped after winning the encounter.
These bosses are also being revamped to offer new levels of difficulty and different item drops to make it worth going back for more.
There are also a bunch of other new items and features being added, here are the Ark Survival Evolved update patch notes from Studio Wildcard:
- New Mechanic: Hairstyles & Facial Hair (with real-time growing), Hair Dye-ing, & Haircutting + Scissors
- Tek Tier Phase 1: Tek Engram system, Element Resource system, Tek Replicator, Tek Rifle, Tek Helmet, Tek Visor, Tek Jetpack, Tek Boots, Tek Gloves, Tek Rex Saddle, Tek Transmitter, and more.
- New Dino: Ovis Aries!
- New Dino: Thylacoleo!
- New Dino: Basilosaurus!
- New Dino: Baryonyx!
- New Dino: Purlovia!
- New Dino: Microraptor!
- New Dino: Ammonite!
- New Item: Lance (for jousting of course!), and you can now also use a Shield when Weapon-Riding (provided you are using an appropriate Weapon).
- Alliance-Chat channel!
- Admin Command Logs & Chat Logs file-output options
- Troodon Scout now has an option to look for Corpses & Caches
- Tamed Dinos now have an option to disable their resource-harvesting
- Holding Left or Right when dismounting a Dino will now dismount you in that direction
- Significantly increased Scorched Earth Loot Drop Quality
- Scorched Earth Sandstorm now causes Dino AI ranges to be significantly reduced due to low visibility
- Added 5 more Player and Dino levels
- Fixed Allosaurus spawning inside bases
- Fixed issue with being able to clip through World Geometry
- Fixed Supply Crates respawn logic (would previously have stopped some cave crate spawns)
