The 24-year-old Belgium international has seen former team-mates Oscar, Ramires and Mikel John Obi move to China in the past year.

But Courtois says his interest is playing for big clubs and winning the highest honours.

Thibaut Courtois doesn't want to play China
He told the London Evening Standard: ”Would I be interested to play in China annually for £18 million? Each player must decide for himself.
"Some players are more concentrated on what they will do after their football career and want to make sure their lives are financially settled.

"But I prefer to play in big teams. You might earn a little less but you win trophies in major leagues. You also have more fun.
"Whoever goes to China to play knows he must work there with bad players and disappears from the spotlight of international football."
