Genk winger Leon Bailey will undergo a medical at Bayer Leverkusen in the next 24 hours

The 19-year-old has been on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs with Manchester United, Liverpool and Hull interested in securing his signature.

But according to German publication DH, the Jamaican international will be swapping Genk for Bayer Leverkusen after being booked in for a medical in Germany.

This will come as a huge blow to the Premier League trio, who are all keen to bolster their ranks in the January transfer window.

Hull boss Marco Silva has confirmed he wants to sign Bailey

United boss Jose Mourinho wants to add firepower to his ranks with Ashley Young set for a move to China and Memphis Depay being sold to Lyon.

Liverpool are struggling without the pace, power and goals of Sadio Mane, who is on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, and Jurgen Klopp has earmarked Bailey as a potential target to fill the void.

While Hull boss Marco Silva confirmed his interest in Bailey yesterday with Robert Snodgrass destined for the exit door.

Jose Mourinho is keen to sign Bailey after selling Memphis Depay to Lyon

He said: "We will try. He's not an easy player to come. It is not an easy deal but we will try. Until now we don't have news.

"We need to do what is our best for this window but we need for this position and for the other positions to do something in the last week of the market."

Bailey will cost somewhere between £17m and £21m after Genk director Dimitri de Conde confirmed the club are determined to keep hold of their star man until the end of the season.

"We'll fight to keep them here until the end of this season, but that is no easy task,” De Conde told Belgian outlet HLN.

Who has your club signed in the January transfer window?

“If mega bids, by Belgian standards, are made, then we cannot reject it, and if the boys also feel ready for a step up then it will be very difficult to keep them in Genk. I must be ready with alternatives.

"In the category of players 20 or under, then these boys are absolutely top talents, so I think a fee of between £17m and £21m is certainly warranted.

“The ideal scenario would be that we reach a deal in January with the interested clubs but the guys say here for the rest of the season. I’ll do that if I can.”

Bailey has scored eight goals in 35 appearances for Genk this season and is contracted to the club until 2020.
