The new Zelda Breath of the Wild update is available on Nintendo Switch and Wii U
“Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience,” a message from Nintendo explains.
Gamers have confirmed that a similar patch has been released for Zelda Breath of the Wild Wii U, with much the same way in terms of explanation.
Fans are being forced to ask around on Reddit to find out what other changes might have occurred, the latest can be found below:
“On my end, it appears they removed the horseback Bokoblin arrow farming exploit. After collecting 10 or so arrows, subsequent shots never spawn an arrow pickup,” one fan wrote.

“I'm not sure if this is the update, but I noticed wolf link correctly has 3 hearts today instead of the 20 hearts it used to have (on Switch version)."
“Played the game, it was very pleasant. Good job Nintendo.”
“It doesn't make Korok Forest run any smoother, nor does it remove the infinite stamina run glitch. Not sure what other major areas to look at.”
Like what happened with an earlier update, it may take some time for fans to find out exactly what has changed, although it probably won’t come from Nintendo.
Update 1.1.1 may have launched earlier this month, but fans weren't entirely sure what the patch was supposed to have fixed.
There were reports that the update improved the Zelda: Breath of the Wild frame rate, but this hadn't been proven… until now.

YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits has posted a comparison video showing the frame rate before the patch and after.
Filmed in multiple areas, the frame rates are noticeably better with the patch installed.
And according to a post on Reddit, the frame rate drops are almost nonexistent in handheld mode, and far less frequent in docked mode.
Interestingly, the game tends to perform better in handheld mode, because docking the console improves the resolution at the expense of the frame rate.
