Xbox Scorpio dev kit is revealed
Xbox Scorpio dev kits have been photographed ahead of the next big Microsoft reveal.
The Xbox Scorpio dev kit looks very similar to the Xbox One S, sporting the same white frame and form factor.
And as Eurogamer points out, the Xbox One and Xbox One S dev kits were nearly identical to the retail versions, so there's a chance this is the design Microsoft has settled on.
Interestingly, the Xbox Scorpio dev kits also pack more power than the final version and they also feature an OLED screen that displays frame rates and other useful information.
With this extra power under the hood of the dev kit, it could be that the retail version is smaller.
We should see the final design, price and release date at this year's E3 gaming expo in June.

The good news is that Project Scorpio is said to be running ahead of schedule, and could be released in as little as six months.
This would potentially give Xbox Scorpio an October release date, although nothing has been finalised.
In terms of a price, the report suggests that fans will need to pay a premium to purchase the device.
"As for cost, Microsoft told us absolutely nothing – but looking at what's in it, it ain't going to be cheap. Our guess, and it is just a guess, is $499, the same launch price as the original Xbox One,' reads the Eurogamer report.

Interestingly, the 8GB of memory – which is up from the 5GB found in the original Xbox One – allows the console to process art assets, making it easier to run 4K resolution visuals at higher speeds.
