Jill Sharp, from Scotland, vehemently denies taking photos of a stranger’s identity online to use him as a fake boyfriend over the years on social media.
The 31-year-old said she has been ‘“set-up” and is currently in a real happy relationship.
The man at the centre, fellow Scot Graham McQuet, has denied ever meeting Ms Sharp, and is currently engaged to another woman named Marianne Stirling.
Ms Sharp alleges the photos which show her and Mr McQuet were posted online by somebody else, and says she does not have a Twitter account.

She said: “If I had been stalking someone for four years they surely would have known – but the bottom line is that I haven't.
“Why would I have a boyfriend that all my friends meet regularly but try and say I'm going out with someone else? None of this makes sense.

The Twitter account which hosted the images has since been deleted.
But before it vanished, the owner of the account allegedly sent messages to another account supposedly belonging to Mr McQuet.

According to the Daily Record, he had no knowledge of the account.
One alleged friend of Ms Sharp told the paper: “The posts were all champagne and flowers and how wonderful a life she was living with Graham.”
Among the fake images were photos allegedly showing Ms Sharp and Mr McQuet on a visit to Westminster Abbey.

Mr McQuet and his fiancé contacted the police but were told there was nothing that could be done do as no crime had taken place, according to the Daily Record.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Advice was provided to the complainers on the initial information that was given. Further inquiries are ongoing.”
