At 3.55pm this afternoon, Federer sent down an ace to secure a 6-3 6-1 6-4 win over Marin Cilic.
The Swiss legend, 35, got the job done in just 1hr 41mins to ensure he won the title without dropping a set.
And at 4.47pm, just 52 minutes after winning his Grand Slam title, he tweeted a picture of himself kissing the trophy.
The 19-time Grand Slam champion wrote: "#19 tastes great." Within minutes it had more than 10,000 retweets.

Federer cried on court after laying eyes on his family before going on a parade of the trophy.
He showed off the trophy to thousands of fans on the Centre Court balcony and waved to his die-hard fans.
It was a day to forget for Marin Cilic, however.

The Croat put a towel over his head and started crying at 6-4 3-0 down as he struggled to deal with blisters.
He didn't quite throw that same towel in – Cilic composed himself and at least gave Federer a match in the third set – but this was a legend at work.
And, in truth, he never needed to get out of first gear as he claimed a win at all All-England Club, 14 years after his first.
