The new First Lady has broken with tradition but not moving into the White House straight after her husband’s inauguration.
Donald Trump has said Melania and Barron will move to Washington "very soon, after he's finished with school" in New York.
But there is no date for the move. Melania currently live at Trump Tower with Barron, who goes to Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School.
Transition spokesman Jason Miller said the Trumps are "energised and excited about their new role” but felt concerned about Barron changing schools in the middle of the year.

Barron will be the first boy to live in the White House since the young John F Kennedy Junior during the 1960s.
Only two First Ladies have not to lived in the White House while their husbands served as US President.
Martha Washington, the wife of George Washington, could not live in there because the White House had not yet to be built.
Anna Harrison did not live there because her husband, President William Henry Harrison, died before she could take up residence.
