There has been a spike in searches for 'who is the President of the USA?'
Despite the nonstop media coverage of Donald Trump’s every word, it seems like some Americans still do not know that he is the new US President.
The question ‘who is the President of the USA’ was the 9th biggest trending search term in America, according to the Google hot trends ranking at midday.
Britons also appear to be confused because the question ‘who is the President of the USA’ was ranked as the second hight trending search term in the UK.
Over in the UK, the only biggest trending search was Melbourne where i four pedestrians were stabbed to death in broad daylight in Melbourne today.

The flurry of Google searches about the identity of the US President came just before Mr Trump’s highly anticipated inauguration later today.
Google Trends data shows that there has been a big spike for the search team ‘who is the president of the USA’.
Other top questions included ‘who is the president of the US’ and ‘who is the president of the united states’.
Google Trends said the most interest in the query was in Delaware, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut and Michigan.

After the EU referendum result in June, Britons were mocked for asking ‘what is the EU’ after having voted to leave the bloc.
Google Trends Twitter account posted that ‘what is the EU’ was one of the biggest search terms in the UK on the day.
There may be confusion over who is the US President because Barack Obama has stayed in the White House since Mr Trump’s election in November.
Mr Trump, known as the President-elect, has been putting his top team together and preparing for the job over past two and a half months.
