Princess Eugenie reportedly plans to marry boyfriend Jack Brooksbank
Is Princess Eugenie engaged to Jack Brooksbank?
Rumours of Eugenie’s engagement have been circulating since last September, when the Princess introduced Jack to the Queen at Balmoral Castle.
The Queen reportedly said that Jack is a “thoroughly nice young man” and gave the couple their blessing.
As eighth-in-line to the throne, Eugenie does not formally need the Queen’s permission to marry, but was apparently thrilled to get her granny’s blessing.
In December the 26-year-old Princess was spotted with a ring on her engagement finger.
Friends of the couple played down the rumours and insisted that it was an old ring that the Princess had absent-mindedly put on her wedding finger.
Nonetheless royalists are fervently awaiting a royal wedding wedding – although the couple could be beaten down the aisle by Prince Harry should he marry girlfriend Meghan Markle.

Eugenie and Jack are reportedly planning to move into Ivy Cottage in Kensington Palace before announcing their engagement.
But their plans have been put on hold because of a row over renovation costs after damp has been found in the basement.
A source has revealed that the repairs could cost “thousands of pounds”, leading to a “stand-off” between the royals and The Crown Estate over who will pay.

Who is Jack Brooksbank?
Jack, 29, is a staple of the London nightclub scene and works as a manager at Prince Hary’s favourite haunt, Mahiki in Mayfair.
He was introduced to Eugenie through mutual friends in 2010 on a skiing trip to Verbier.
At the time he was working as a waiter, but has since worked his way up through the hospitality industry.
Jack and Eugenie stayed in touch via Skype when she moved to New York
Jack hopes to one day own a chain of pubs. He told the Daily Mail: “It has been my dream since I was 18. I have fond memories of Sunday roasts in pubs with log fires, and it's something I want to recreate.”
The couple stuck together when Eugenie moved to New York in 2013 for a job at art auctioneers Paddle8, using Skype to stay in touch.
Jack remained at home with his parents George, a chartered accountant and company director, and Nicola, in their £800,000 flat in south London.
As well as the apartment in a converted Victoria school, the well-off family also own a home near Bordeaux in France.
