Where will Prince George go to school?

It was originally thought that Prince George would attend the prestigious Wetherby School, but the Sunday Express has revealed that he will in fact go to a new off-shoot of the school’s named Wetherby Kensington.

A source revealed: “The Duke and Duchess like the idea of George enrolling at the new smaller school because it is much more discreet than the original Wetherby.

“A few of the pupils at that school in Notting Hill are the children of celebrities so it has always attracted quite a lot of paparazzi.

“Although the children cannot be photographed, there is still a market for pictures of famous parents on the school run.”

The new school will initially open with just two reception classes for boys aged four and five.

Its website says that Wetherby Kensington “will follow exactly the same curriculum and share the same values and ethos as our [original] school".

It adds: “The school will prepare boys for onward progression to top prep schools including Wetherby Preparatory School.

“Boys at Wetherby Kensington will have an automatic place at Wetherby Preparatory School when they leave the school if their parents wish them to go there from Year 4 onwards.”

Helen Milnes, deputy head of Wetherby, will serve as the new school’s headmaster.

Where is Wetherby Kensington?

The new school will open in September 2017 and will be located in west London, just an eight-minute drive from Kensington Palace.

William and Kate are thought to be eyeing a permanent move to the Palace, having spent the last few years living in Anmer Hall on the Queen’s Sandringham estate.

Where did Prince William go to school?

Both Prince William and Harry attended Wetherby until the age of eight and went on to board at Ludgrove School in Berkshire and Eton College near Windsor.

William later graduated with a degree in Art History from the University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland – where he met his future wife.
