Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin star in Grace and Frankie
When is Grace and Frankie season 3 released?
Season three of the odd-couple comedy arrives on Netflix on Friday March 24, almost a year after the release of season two.
But in the future, fans might not have to wait so long for more of Grace and Frankie in between seasons.
Jane Fonda (Grace) and Lily Tomlin (Frankie) have revealed that they are lobbying to Netflix boss Ted Sarandos to speed up production to two seasons a year.
Tomlin, 77, told IndieWire: “Considering our age, I think we should convince Ted to do two seasons a year.
“I wish that they could sparse them out more, so we didn’t have to wait so long.
“I love that that was a release in the press, they said: ‘Grace and Frankie’ has been renewed for a second season.’
“And then shortly after they renewed it for a third and they said ’considering the leads’ age’ – they felt like it was expedient!”
The series follows two women in their 70s whose husbands leave them for each other
What will happen in Grace and Frankie season 3?
Season two ended with a hilarious scene which sets the tone for the new instalments.
Grace suffered a wrist injury after she tried out a new vibrator, which inspired her to start a business with Frankie to make sex aids for older women.
Netflix has teased that the septuagenarians will be “back in buzzness” in season three with a risqué trailer filled with sex toys.
