WhatsApp is expected to roll-out a new feature to its chat app – and people don't like it already
WhatsApp could be about to add stickers to its hugely-popular messaging app.
The Facebook-owned chat app could follow in the footsteps of the social network's own Messenger app, which introduced stickers on Android and iOS back in April 2013.
Renown tipster WABetaInfo has published screenshots from the latest beta, which reveals sticker sets with a very similar design to those used in Facebook Messenger.
Stickers are detailed cartoon drawings, typically larger and more elaborate than emoji.
Facebook has made a number of changes to its stickers since the format first launched some four years ago.

WhatsApp looks set to share a number of sticker packs with sister app Facebook Messenger
The hugely-successful social network recently introduced branded sticker packs to its Messenger app, with the likes of Marvels' Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Simon's Cat currently ranking in the Featured Tab.
WhatsApp rival Line Messenger has long used these branded stickers to generate an absurd amount of revenue.
Two years ago, Line was reportedly making $10 million a month from sticker sales from its 230 million registered users at the time.
Apple also introduced paid stickers when it overhauled its iMessage service following the launch of iOS 10 last year.

It's unclear whether WhatsApp will copy this business model for its rumoured sticker launch.
The initial reaction to the leaked beta screenshots has not been positive.
Twitter users have criticised Facebook for sharing features and designs between its portfolio of apps.
"Noooooooo!!!!!! Firstly stories… Now this!!! You guys are ruining WhatsApp," one user posted.
Another added: "Mark makes WhatsApp S***!"

WhatsApp – Hidden tricks and features you probably don't know, but definitely should be using
"OMG! Those stickers are horrible!" one WhatsApp user tweeted.
The news comes as WhatsApp revealed some of the impressive statistics around its recently-launched video call feature.
The Facebook-owned app's 1.2 billion monthly active users are spending more than 340 million minutes each day making a staggering 55 million video calls, it announced.
That's not bad, especially since the ability to make and receive video calls inside the app has only been available for the last six months.
It's surge in popularity is a testament to WhatsApp's overall popularity, as well as how important the addition of the feature was to begin with.
To mark its impressive new milestone, WhatsApp updated its Android app to make video calls more prominent within the user interface.
