An air ambulance later landed in Parliament Square.
In the footage Parliament can be seen being suspended due to the apparent attack.
The deputy speaker Lindsay Hoyle can be heard saying: “I am now going to suspend the sitting of the House.
"This house is now suspended but please wait here."

A handful of people are thought to have entered the parliamentary estate before one appeared to repeatedly attack a police officer.
Journalists in the press gallery were told to stay inside and keep away from windows as security officers dealt with the incident.
A Met Police spokesperson, said: “Police were called at 14.40 to reports of an incident on Westminster Bridge.
“It’s being treated as a fire arms incident. Officers are on the scene and dealing.”
Another apparent attack took place on Westminster Bridge as 12 people were injured after being hit by a car.
Eyewitnesses say at least 12 people were injured on Westminster Bridge, while a ferry appears to have crashed into the bridge and another vehicle appears to have crashed into a fence outside the Parliament.
