New permanent England manager Gareth Southgate is preparing to name his first squad for next month’s friendly in Germany and the World Cup qualifier at home to Lithuania a few days later.
The Three Lions’ reputation is in tatters following a spineless Euro 2016 showing and Bilic was convinced fearless Carroll could help Southgate rectify that.
“When Andy is playing like that every manager would like to have him in his team or squad,” said Bilic of Carroll’s four-goal Hammers haul in as many games.
Slaven Bilic praised Andy Carroll's recent form
Andy Carroll has scored four goals in as many games
“Andy would help any team. Andy would help the German team, Andy would help the Spanish team because he is a top player. He brings you everything, everything that you could ask from a centre forward.
“In the Euro finals England looked scared, especially in that game against Iceland. Andy is fearless. He doesn’t have that kind of negative kind of pressure. He is the one that goes into every game with a big positive mind.”
Carroll has not played for England since October 2012 and each of his last five seasons have seen the forward sidelined by a succession of serious injuries, including a three-month absence through a knee problem this term.

Gareth Southgate will be selecting his England squad for next month's internationals
He missed training sessions ahead of tomorrow’s visit of West Brom with a groin problem but is expected to start nonetheless.
“To be fair, this is the only week he didn’t train with us since he came back from injury that ruled him out for a long time,” said Bilic.
