Ivanovic, 32, has captured the interest of a number of clubs as he nears his Chelsea exit.

The defender has started just one game for Chelsea since September, having been the victim of Antonio Conte's decision to move from four at the back to three.

And Nathan Ake's return from a loan spell at Bournemouth has effectively ended Ivanovic's Blues career.

Everton are understood to be chasing the Serbia international, while reports emerged yesterday that a deal with Zenit had been agreed.

But now the Daily Mail claim West Brom have entered the fray.

Baggies manager Tony Pulis has money to spend in this transfer window after selling Saido Berahino to Stoke for £15million.

And it is said Ivanovic would prefer to stay close to London for family reasons and could commute to the west Midlands.

But a stumbling block could be his wages.

The former Lokomotiv Moscow star earns £90,000 a week at Chelsea and would want to remain on that deal were he to move clubs.

Ivanovic's contract expires in the summer, meaning he could agree a free transfer to leave west London for the end of the season.

But Chelsea may bow to Ivanovic's demands of leaving before this month's transfer deadline as he seeks game time at another club.
