Jonathan Swain was in the middle of a live report about the investigation when he attempted to get close to the scene.
However, he was confronted on not one but two occasions by the police to stand back from the potential crime scene.
One policeman was heard saying: “Please step away.”
The journalist quickly replied: “Okay, okay, we won’t go any further.”

Jonathan told hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid: “The police are still relatively sensitive this morning, and understandably so because suspects were pulled out of the property behind me at around 4am this morning.
“Suspects are currently being held in police vans around the corner in the position we were broadcasting from earlier,” he added.
However, as he edged closer again, another police officer stopped and pushed him back further.
