Jenna Coleman (Queen Victoria) and Tom Hughes (Prince Albert) are back for the second series
The second series of the successful show will be set in the 1840s and will see Queen Victoria balance her family life with being the most important woman in Britain.
Speaking about the next instalment, screenwriter Daisy Goodwin said: ”Even though she reigned in the 19th century, Victoria is a heroine for our times.
"In the next series she faces the very modern dilemma of how to juggle children with her husband and her job. As Victoria will discover, it's hard to be a wife, a mother and ruler of the most powerful nation on earth."
The next series of Victoria is expected to air on ITV this autumn.
