Vanquish is out today on PC through Steam, and to celebrate, SEGA has released a developer video featuring an interview with the original developers at PlatinumGames.
The developer diary featuring producer Atsushi Inaba, animator Takaaki Yamaguchi, and enemy programmer Noriyuki Otani discusses everything from the origin of Sam’s slide boosters to dancing robots. They also touch up on why director Shinji Mikami wanted to develop a “speedy action shooter.”
Originally released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010, SEGA started teasing a Vanquish PC announcement not long after the firm released Bayonetta on Steam – which has now sold over 170,000 copies on the service.
Along with running at 60fps, Vanquish on PC also features unlocked frame rates, supports 4K resolution, anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, SSAO lighting, scalable texture and shadow quality. It has mouse and keyboard support, and the mouse input has no mouse acceleration. You can also use a game controller if preferred.

The pre-order offering, which included a Digital Deluxe Edition and 25% discount for Bayonetta owners, expires as of launch, today.
