Crystal Palace transfer news
Sunderland defender Patrick van Aanholt is to have a medical at Crystal Palace today.
Palace have agreed to pay £14million for Dutchman Van Aanholt, having had their first offer rejected by Sunderland earlier this month.
And Palace boss Sam Allardyce is adamant Van Aanholt's recent heart problems will not affect the transfer.
“Patrick van Aanholt is having a medical today,” said Sam Allardyce.
"It won't go through until every aspect of negotiation, and what the medical might say. It's in the process at the moment.

I'm sure the medical will be okay
“But I wouldn't imagine the heart issue will be a problem – I have had two players in the past with a similar condition.
“I'm sure the medical will be okay and he will be looking forward to joining us – he was a major saviour in our run last season.
“His contribution, in terms of assists and goals, was massive. When it came to defending he got better with me and listened to what we told him about, where the weaker side of his game was and he made it stronger.
“He has great energy and is a very good player. He and Jeffrey Schlupp will increase the speed and energy levels of the squad. If everything goes well, I look forward to him joining me again here.”
