Demonstrators gathered outside the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square, London, for a day of campaigning and speeches against the controversial ban.

The protesters walked towards Downing Street.

Mr Trump has dismissed the protests on Twitter, saying America is in "big trouble" as his controversial immigration order has been suspended.

Airlines have started to allow the previously banned passengers to fly to the US cities after the judge’s ruling.

Judge James Robart temporarily blocked Trump's immigration ban nationwide.

Stand Up to Racism, Stop the War and the People’s Assembly have come together to organise the event.

It is the third protest against Trump in two weeks and comes after he issued an executive order suspending entry to the US for nationals of seven Muslim-majority countries for three months to combat terrorism.

Defending his ban amid mass protests, Mr Trump tweeted: "When a country is no longer able to say who can, and who cannot , come in & out, especially for reasons of safety & security – big trouble!"

Interesting that certain Middle-Eastern countries agree with the ban. They know if certain people are allowed in it's death & destruction!

Trump's ban on Muslims must be opposed by all who are against racism and support basic human rights

More than 11,000 people have said they will be attending the protest to the Facebook page.

Yesterday, Londoners formed a human chain around a mosque in protest at the controversial president.

The controversial ban was blocked nationwide by a judge on Friday, but the White House plans to fight the decision.
