8am (1pm GMT): Donald Trump are expected to have a private breakfast at the President’s guesthouse Blair House.
8.30am (1.30pm GMT): Mr Trump's family will attend a religious service at St John’s Episcopal Church, near Blair House.
9.30am (2.30pm GMT): The incoming Republican President and his family will meet Barack Obama and his family at the White House.
The Obamas will host the Trumps for afternoon tea before travelling down Pennsylvania Avenue to the Capitol building together.

11.30am (4.30pm GMT): The inauguration ceremony will begin with opening remarks in front of huge crowds outside the Capitol.
Noon (5pm GMT) Mr Trump will take the office of oath before giving his first speech as the 45th US President.
Singer Jackie Evancho and The Mormon Tabernacle Choir are set to perform at the inauguration ceremony.
Afternoon: The Obamas will say goodbye to the White House – their home of xx years – following Mr Trump’s inauguration.

The new US commander-in-chief will review the American armed forces from the East Front of the Capitol after luncheon.
There will then be an inaugural parade from the Capitol, down Pennsylvania Avenue, back to the White House.
The New York City Rockettes are among the groups and marching bands that will take part in the parade.
7pm onwards (midnight onwards): There will be two inaugural balls where Mr Trump is expected to speak and dance with the other guests.
