How to live stream Donald Trump's inauguration today

Viewers around the world will watch Donald Trump take the oath of office during the inauguration ceremony outside the Capitol building in Washington today.

A million-strong crowd – including 350,000 anti-Trump protesters – is expected to line the streets and gather in front of the Capital dome for the inauguration.

Mr Trump will take the oath of office at noon local time (5pm GMT) before giving his inaugural speech as the new US President.

So, if you want to watch the historic inauguration, here's how to stream all the action online.

How to watch Donald Trump’s inauguration

Coverage of the next US President’s inauguration will be shown live on BBC One, BBC News and Sky News in the UK.

BBC One will begin its live coverage of the inauguration at 4pm GMT with presenter Katty Kay reporting from the Capitol.

Huw Edwards and Sophie Raworth will present ‘President Trump: The Inauguration’, which will also be shown on the BBC News channel at the same time.

Sky News will also broadcast a special programme on Mr Trump’s inauguration from 3pm GMT, while Sky Atlantic coverage begins at 4pm.

The BBC and Sky News will also be showing the match on a desktop computer or laptop via the broadcasters’ own websites.

You can watch Sky News online here and tune in to the BBC News on the iPlayer website here.

People in the UK, America and around the world can also live stream Mr Trump’s speech on the Right Side website.
