Arsenal are considering Marc Overmars as their new director of football
Manchester United are closing in on a double deal for Espanyol defenders Aaron Caricol and David Lopez, according to reports.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims United scout Toni Lima watched the pair in action against Alaves last weekend.
The report says Lopez has a £34million release clause while Caricol's stands at £25m – both well within reach of the Red Devils.
Lopez is primarily a centre-half who can also operate in the midfield, and Caricol is a left-back – an area of concern for United all season.
Alvaro Morata has admitted he wants to work with Antonio Conte
Alvaro Morata has dropped a huge hint he will join Chelsea by claiming he sees himself working with Antonio Conte soon.
Conte signed the Spain international for Juventus in 2014 but left to become Italy boss before working with him- but he's had a lasting impression on the Real Madrid star.
"I feel indebted to him because he's the coach that most trusted in me, most wanted me, who made me feel I could perform at the highest level," Morata told The Guardian.
"Yet I've never had the fortune to actually work with him. I'm sure sooner or later I will."

Arsenal are considering appointing club legend Marc Overmars as their new director of football, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claim the Dutchman is the leading candidate for the role as the Gunners begin to reshape their backroom staff.
Overmars, who won the double with Arsenal in 1998, is currently director of football at his former club Ajax.
Borussia Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc is also said to be in the running for the position.
