Southampton transfer news
Saints winger Sims has played eight games in his debut season this campaign, having come through the academy ranks.
The 19-year-old penned a deal running until 2020 and said: “I’m absolutely delighted to signed a new contract with the club. I’m really happy that the club have put faith in me to offer me a new contract.
“I can’t really put into words how good it has been recently, but I just need to push on now and continue my progress.
“I can’t see why you wouldn’t want to sign here. This is definitely the club for me to help me progress and aspire to be like some of the other Academy graduates to have come through.”

West Ham transfer news
West Ham have rejected a third bid from Marseille for Dimitri Payet amid reports they have demanded at least £30million for the wantaway playmaker.
Marseille are keen to sign their former player and Payet wants to return back to France.
The France international is currently refusing to play for West Ham, who are paying him £125,000 a week.
And Sky Sports claim the Hammers have snubbed a third bid from Marseille.
Marseille initially offered £19m for Payet and then upper their bid by £1m when West Ham turned them away.
This new offer was made in pounds sterling rather than euros, although it still failed to meet West Ham’s £30m valuation.
Leeds United transfer news
Leeds United have sent midfielder Toumani Diagouraga on loan to Ipswich Town.
Diagouraga had played just once for Leeds all season and could immediately go into the Ipswich side to face Preston on Saturday.
The 29-year-old was close to joining Rotherham earlier this month but the deal fell through.
Diagouraga will assess his future at the end of the season, with Leeds boss Garry Monk unlikely to keep him at the club.
