Arsenal transfer news
Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil can win the Premier League title if he signs a new contract, Thierry Henry believes.
Ozil is out of contract at the Gunners in the summer of 2018 and is yet to pen a new deal.
The Germany international says he wants assurances over manager Arsene Wenger’s future before committing himself to the club.
And Henry has urged Ozil to remain in north London.

“He has said he wants to know if Arsene is staying beyond the summer. Look, I’m an Arsenal fan. For that reason I’m desperate for him to stay,” Henry wrote in The Sun on Sunday.
“But I understand his predicament. I was in the same situation in 2007 when I joined Barcelona — with a heavy heart. I didn’t know Arsene’s plans, either, as he was coming to the end of a contract then, too.
“People will say it’s all about money for Mesut and that Wenger’s contract is a smokescreen. We don’t know. We have to trust what he says. Respect it.
“Mesut has won the World Cup with Germany. But at club level, he has only one title, with Real Madrid in 2012. He will be desperate for more.
“But he can do that at the Emirates.
“That’s why I’d urge him to stay and become an Arsenal legend.
“Win that first title. Be the future of Arsenal. Not just the assist man, but the guy who drives the team forward. He can do that with Alexis Sanchez.”

Liverpool transfer news
Liverpool will not sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, believes Steve McManaman.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Hart, who is currently on loan at Torino, as Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius struggle for form.
But former Reds star McManaman doubts boss Jurgen Klopp will move for the England international.
"I really don't (think it will happen)," he told BT Sport.
"Don't get me wrong I think he's a great goalkeeper.
"But at this moment I don't think so."
Liverpool reportedly want to sign Ivan Perisic
Meanwhile, Liverpool want to sign Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic, according to reports.
Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with Perisic, who is supposedly available for £35million.
And the Star on Sunday claim Liverpool have also entered the running to land the Croatia international.
According to the report, Inter are keen to sell their midfielder in order to then push for PSG’s Marco Verratti.
However, manager Jurgen Klopp has said he will only sign new players in January if they significantly improve to squad.
