Tom Jones is 'dating' Priscilla Presley

The Welsh crooner is said to be “courting” Elvis Presley’s ex-wife after being friends for many years.

The relationship is believed to be in the early stages and the pair seem to be enjoying spending time together since the singer’s wife Linda passed away in April.

Tom, 76, was a close friend of Elvis and spent a lot of time with him and his wife Priscilla in the late sixties and seventies before the King of Rock and Roll’s death in 1977.

“Tom and Priscilla are courting. There is a spark between them but they are taking it slowly. It really is early days but they get on so well," a source told The Sun.

A friend added: "Tom has had a difficult year with Linda’s death and Priscilla has been an amazing support."

When asked by the newspaper about bout Priscilla, Tom said: “We have been friends for a long time. She’s a lovely lady. We do enjoy our nights out together.”

Last month, the It’s Not Unusual hitmaker and The Naked Gun actress were spotted going for dinner in Hollywood.

They arrived in style at the A-List restaurant Craig’s in a white Rolls Royce.

Ever the gentlemen, Tom opened the door for his friend and helped her out the car before escorting her inside.

And ironically, the Voice UK coach was wearing blue suede shoes which relates to one of Elvis' biggest hits.

A spokesman added to the publication: “Priscilla Presley and Tom have known each other for many, many years.”

He married his childhood sweetheart Linda in 1957 and remained wed until she passed away from cancer last year.

Priscilla was married to Elvis from 1967 to 1973 and they had one daughter together, Lisa Marie Presley.
