The hostess of ITV’s Love Island appeared unimpressed at his bluntness, telling him: “We’re not here to talk about that."
Speaking to Flack via video link and alongside Ruth Langsford in the studio, Holmes wasn’t interested in talking about the show but rather went straight to the presenter’s own relationships.
He said: “So what about you, Caroline? Never mind all these other wannabes, what about your love life? Are you dating?”
The tanned brunette attempted to laugh off the intrusion, but was obviously unwilling to discuss the topic.

But Ruth tried to salvage the pause by reassuring the brunette there was nothing sinister about the question. She clarified: “You just had a little break, didn’t you – and now you’re back in the saddle. Oh look, underneath all that tan she’s turning red.”

She then glossed over the awkwardness with some tidbits about the new series of the show about romance and sun-soaked beautiful people.

Eamonn appeared to give in at that point and the This Morning presenters carried on humouring the 37-year-old.
“We’ve got a brand new villa, but the format is the same. We want the magic to happen, so there are plenty of nooks and crannies over Love Islanders to have some privacy,” Flack explained.
The brunette wasn’t the only one to be made uncomfortable by Holmes today, as he criticised Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell over Labour’s plans in a debate over the UK economy.
