The 35-year-old said that she had contacted This Morning’s consumer expert Alice Beer to help get her boiler sorted after she found out that it would take a week for it to be fixed.
However, many watching at home were not impressed and slammed Holly on social media after hearing her story.
“Seems like someone wanted preferential treatment, didn't get it so called someone to call on her behalf #thismorning,”(sic) posted one irate person.
Another said: “No engineer for 7 days!!! Don't you know who i am? Welcome to the real world #thismorning.”
A third angrily wrote: “Get yourself a portable heater love and boil a f**king kettle like everyone else #ThisMorning.”
Holly made the admission during a segment about insuring boilers on today’s edition of the ITV breakfast show, which also saw Alice, 51, offering viewers advice.
“You were chilly, love,” Alice said to Holly, who responded: “I have been very cold for the last two nights.”

The presenter explained that her boiler broke down two days ago and she needed a new one.
“So I had cover, I had insurance, so I thought I would ring them and it would be very swift because they said if you had small children you would be on the priority list and then they’d deal with you,” she said.

Alice cut in and said: “When they say your boiler is finished, they shut down your boiler and you can’t get new parts and it’s not like you can run it for the next five days while you’re waiting.

“A boiler is a boiler, there’s no messing around. They’re probably one of the most dangerous things you’ve got in your house. They just turn it off and you’re left.”
Holly replied: “Yes, it’s been absolutely freezing. The kids have been in our bed. The nearest appointment they could give me was the following week, so we were going to be seven days without this.
“I didn’t know what to do without any heat whatsoever, so I called you because you’re like the guru. You know everything.”
