The 42-year-old TV personality explained how after 15 years of recording showbiz interviews for the hit ITV daytime show, she still gets nervous and has big names she still wants to talk with.
However, Winfrey is the name she has always wanted to interview, so when the 63-year-old American star cancelled, it left Alison “gutted”.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, Alison said: "How do I keep calm? Well I still get nervous. I've been doing this job for 15 years now. I still get nervous.
"I think that is the key, the fact that I have nerves. The day where I don't have nerves is the day where I think it's time to give it up. They're good nerves. I'm nervous now."

Oprah Winfrey. I've wanted to interview her for ages and I nearly got an interview with her and it got cancelled. I literally cried my eyes out. I was gutted
Revealing the names she wants to add to her showbiz reel, she explained: "Oprah Winfrey. I've wanted to interview her for ages and I nearly got an interview with her and it got cancelled. I literally cried my eyes out. I was gutted.
"Barack Obama. That would be good. I'd like to have met him… not the new president though. I’m not interested in him. There’s loads of people that I haven’t interviewed yet. Brad Pitt I haven’t met yet, I’d like to meet Brad Pitt.
“I’ve got an interview with Tom Cruise coming up, I’ve always wanted to interview Tom Cruise. That’s coming up at the end of the month. I’m looking forward to that.”
Thoroughly preparing for each interview, Alison admitted to going off topic if the conversation gets “juicy”.
She continued: “I never wing it, a good presenter will always prepare. I’m the sort of person who will have my cards but not necessarily stick to them because I like to listen and see what they’re going to say and I might go off on another tangent, so it’s always about listening. Sometimes if you’ve got your own questions in your head, you forget to listen to the actual person and what they’re saying.”

The “TV queen” has appeared on the majority of reality TV shows, from Big Brother to I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Strictly Come Dancing.
Alison added: “I haven’t done Tipping Point. I’d like to do Tipping Point. Wipe Out! No, I don’t think I’d do Wipe Out to be honest with you, that would be really hard.”
On a potential return to where her TV fame started, she said: “Celebrity Big Brother, I’ve not done that! No, I think why go back when you’ve already done it? Been there got the T-Shirt. Why would you want to ruin everything? You don’t know what I’m really like. No, I don’t want to do it. I’m a mum now, you’ve got to remember I’ve got a little boy so I’ve got to be sensible. I’ve got to be a role model for him.”
