Isco Real MadridGETTY

Isco could make a sensational switch to Barcelona

Isco has fallen down the pecking order at Real Madrid this season.

The Spain international has struggled for game time under Zinedine Zidane, leading to speculation he could be about to quit the Santiago Bernabeu.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are all reportedly interested in bringing him to the Premier League.

But Spanish publication AS claim Barcelona chiefs are planning to sign Isco.

Isco's contract at Madrid expires in 2018, meaning the Spanish giants have just one summer transfer window to cash in on him.

Barcelona want to sign him sooner rather than later but know Madrid are likely to block any attempts to prise him away.

Javier Saviola was the last player to cross the divide

Therefore, it is claimed the Catalan giants will instead wait for his contract to run out before snapping him up.

The last player to move from one club to the other was Javier Saviola.

The 35-year-old joined Madrid after leaving Barcelona as a free agent back in 2007.
