President Trump’s turnaround followed a press conference on Wednesday afternoon where his stance towards Russia was described as uncharacteristically negative, as the two world powers remained at odds over military action against the Syrian regime.
In his tweet earlier today, the President said: “Things will work out fine between the U.S.A. and Russia. At the right time everyone will come to their senses & there will be lasting peace!”
Just yesterday, Russia used its veto power at the UN Security Council to block a resolution condemning the sarin gas attack in Syria’s Idlib province.

Russia’s foreign ministry has also denied all US claims that it may have had advanced knowledge of the chemical attack that prompted Donald Trump to order the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airfield.
Moscow condemned the US strike as a violation of international law and, in return, suspended a hotline between the two country’s militaries in Syria in protest at the strike.
The US used special procedures to provide a brief warning to Russians known to be at the airfield ahead of the strike.
Mr Trump has spoken repeatedly about how much better it would be if the US could get along with Russia and join to fight against ISIS.
However, on Wednesday, he held out the possibility things might get worse.

SYRIA OPPOSES: President Bashar al-Assad's office denounced the U.S. strike as 'reckless, irresponsible behavior.'
He said: “I’m also going to see about Putin over a period of time. It would be a fantastic thing if we got along with Putin and we got along with Russia.
“And that could happen and it may not happen, it may be just the opposite.”
The president continued: “I would love to get along with everybody. Right now the world is a mess, but by the time we finish I think it's going to be a lot better place to live.
“By the time I'm finished it's going to be a lot better place to live in because right now it's nasty.”
