Last night saw the zombie series return from its mid-season break with Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) and his group trying to enlist help to start a war against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
After they had travelled to the Hilltop and the Kingdom looking for support, the group headed back to Alexandria where they were ambushed by a mystery group.
However, instead of being worried about the heavily armed group, Rick appeared pleased by the sight of them and could be seen smiling as the credits began to roll.
So, who are the mystery group?

He's gonna make sure that those people are on his side
Andrew teased: "Very quickly, we get introduced to a new group and Rick has to think very much on his feet as to how to dal with this unique community because it's not like any other community he's met before."
He refused to reveal if they will become friends with the Alexandrians or an enemy, simply explaining that viewers will "find out very quickly".
However, executive producer Greg Nicotero revealed a little bit more, telling ComicBook.com: "Of course the end of the episode, when they get surrounded, and Rick smiles.
"He's smiling because there's his army. However you cut it, he's gonna make sure that those people are on his side."

Speaking about what fans can expect from the rest of the series, he teased: "We're going to get a chance to meet a lot of interesting new characters and another locale.
"That's what's great about the show. We have Oceanside, we have the Hilltop, we have the Kingdom, we have Alexandria – we're populating our world with a lot of really unique locations and unique civilisations, the hopes are that these are going to all sort of meld together into one group but nothing ever goes down the way you want it to."
The Walking Dead continues on FOX tonight at 9pm.
