Will The OA come back for season 2?
The show's creators Brit Marling and Zal Batmangli have revealed that they already have plans for a second season.
Brit – who also plays Prairie/The OA – told Variety: “Oh my goodness, that would be so much fun. We spent a good three years just cobbling the mathematics of the labyrinth of a mind-bender that could go for many, many hours.
“If we get to be so lucky as to get to another round, I would be so excited.”
Zal added: “Yes, we designed it that way. Whether it will happen or not, I think that’s up to you guys.”
Netflix are yet to confirm whether they will commission a new run of the psychological thriller, but the streaming service has so far only cancelled four of its original series – meaning that The OA stands a good chance of being renewed.

Was The OA telling the truth?
What did The OA ending mean?
Viewers spent the series learning how Prairie was imprisoned for years in an underground bunker by a scientists obsessed with near-death experiences.
The season ended with French finding a stash of books under Prarie’s bed about Russian oligarchs, near-death experiences and angels, hinting that she might have made her story up.
In the final moments Prairie had another premonition that led her to the high school, which was under siege by an unknown gunman.
The OA hid her secret from her parents for most of the season
The OA told her story to a group of teenagers, but was any of it true?
As the group finally got to perform the five movements, a cafeteria worker tackled the shooter – but not before his bullet found Prairie.
The closing scene saw Prairie wake up in a white room and call out “Homer”, but it remains to be seen whether she had travelled through a portal into another dimension or her story was all a lie.
Zal teased: “Maybe she couldn’t tell her story as it actually happened, but she experienced something.

“I don’t think the details matter. I think that there are lots of different interpretations. I think that’s what’s going to make it fun, if people do connect to it.”
Brit added: “I think there is something really delicious in the mystery about questioning the storyteller’s truth. Certainly, you go back and forth on it.
“I think the place it kind of ultimately arrives at is that it maybe doesn’t matter as much the details are true, because there’s some essential core that she’s imparting that smacks of honesty.”
