The Last of Us 2 adds a new actor to the cast
The Last of Us 2 may not have a PS4 release date, but that hasn't stopped the hype machine from kicking into gear.
New Last of Us 2 details have emerged from Naughty Dog, as a Westworld actress joins the voice cast.
Shannon Woodward, who plays Elsie in Westworld, announced the news on Twitter, telling fans: "I am embarrassingly over-excited here because I'm peaking. @Neil_Druckmann is letting me act in The Last Of Us:Part II ."
This was accompanied by an image of Woodward wearing a motion capture suit.
Woodward's character is yet to be revealed, but it's an exciting development ahead of new Last of Us gameplay and release date details that are expected to come out of E3.
Interestingly, Woodward isn't the only Westworld connection in The Last of Us.
Westworld writer Halley Gross is also involved in the sequel, and is working with Naughty Dog on the script for the upcoming PS4 exclusive.

In terms of a release date, fans can expect The Last of Us 2 to launch at some point in 2018, perhaps in time for Christmas.
The Last of Us 2 will be directed by Neil Druckmann, and not Bruce Straley, who co-directed the original game.
The creative team has spoken about the decision to return with a sequel, despite the original ending on such a perfect note.
Druckmann told fans to trust the studio, before revealing that while the original game was about love, the sequel was about hate.

"So much thought went into this – I know there's trepidation about going back to these characters," explained Druckmann
"We feel that as well. No-one loves these characters more than we do, and we wouldn't do it if we didn't have the right idea.
"I had ideas with different characters and it didn't feel right. The Last of Us is about these two characters.
"All I ask is that fans of the first one put some faith in us – we're going to do right by you."
