The Chase contestant sends Twitter into meltdown over shocking resemblance to UP character
John, 84, was the second competitor on the ITV game show and his resemblance to Carl Fredricksen from the film UP had viewers doing a double-take at their TV screens.
Mr Fredricksen is the beloved old man from the popular children’s movie, which was released in 2009, and there was no denying the similarities between the character and John.
With his short white hair and glasses, The Chase contestant looked identical to Carl. The pair could have been twins with John also dressed the same as the Pixar character as he appeared in a grey shirt with red braces.
Viewers were quick to comment on the similarities and rushed to Twitter to share their observation, with one person tweeting: “John on @ITVChase looks like the Old man from up #TheChase.”
