Viewers witnessed a surprising turn of events as the ITV host offered his services to become player Shirley's dream rent-a-chap.
Presenter Bradley, 56, asked the hopeful: "If you were to win some money today, what would you do with it?"
Shirley replied: "My husband and I used to travel a lot. We loved travelling and now I'm alone, I find it difficult.
"So I'm going to rent-a-chap to take along with me, carry my baggage, pour my gin and tonic and perhaps dance with me in the evening."

So I'm going to rent-a-chap to take along with me, carry my baggage, pour my gin and tonic and perhaps dance with me in the evening.
Shirley – The Chase contestant
Holding back a chuckle, Bradley said: "Do you know what Shirley? This is what I'm going to do…" before Shirley eagerly interjected: "Going to volunteer?"
As it was time to face the chaser, Mark Labbett appeared, much to the dissappoinment of Shirley.
Mark, 51, smiled and said: "Good afternoon. Actually Bradley, we know just the chap for Shirley. Shaun Wallace," before Shirley gasped: "That's who I wanted!"
Shocked that those words had been said out loud for Mark to hear, the contestant quickly covered her mouth in horror.
But it was too late and the damage was done, with Mark fiercely replying: "Oh, I'll get my coat then."

Bradley continued to joke that Shaun Wallace was the man she was looking for, adding: "Yeah, he's up for rent, Shaun."
Delving a little deeper, Shirley asked: "Yeah? How much will he charge?" before the presenter quipped: "Not a lot. For you, free."
The game was soon over for Shirley, but not too long after, fellow contestant Kenny was also desperate to be her rent-a-chap.
"Looks like I'll be serving Shirley up some water in the back," laughed Kenny, as Bradley joked: "Oh yeah. If he gets this right, you're rent-a-chap Kenny!"
Losing the game, Kenny panted: "I'm coming Shirls!"
The Chase continues weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
