Bradley, 56, made the remarks after a tense showdown in the head-to-head round between a contestant and the Dark Destroyer – also known as Shaun Wallace.
During the nail-biting round, player Alex from Devon was four ahead of the Chaser and needed one question to go through to the final stage with £30,000, however he kept getting questions wrong.
The 30-year-old airline pilot had a total of five chances to win after Shaun, 57, got one of the questions wrong and the two men went into a dead heat.
“Never mind Who wants to be a Millionaire?, never mind Bake Off, never mind the royal wedding, this will be the greatest moment ever on television!” ITV host Bradley was heard exclaiming as Shaun inched closer with every question he got right.
Bradley had to keep asking question after question before finally the Dark Destroyer lived up to his moniker and took out Alex, who was sent home empty-handed.
Shaun was so shocked by his own victory that he fell off his chair in excitement at finally beating his worthy opponent.
