The original IT girl always seemed in great spirits in public
Now a friend has come forward and claimed Tara spoke of her drugs battle only weeks ago and confessed she was doing “everything to stay clean”.
“Tara was crying when we first started talking and I asked what was wrong. She said that she felt down and lonely.
“That’s when she said, ‘Every day I want drugs. I’m doing everything I can to stay clean but therapy isn’t enough’,” the close friend told The Sun.
The pal added: “I remember those words clearly as there was a sense of desperation. She didn’t want to give in, but it was obvious how difficult things had been.”

Another friend of the socialite, Ivan Massow, admitted it was “hard to reach her” for the past month.
When asked on This Morning if he thought Tara had reverted back into a “dark place”, Ivan explained: “Well I know that every time I didn’t hear from her, that’s where she was.”
It has also emerged that the god-daughter of Prince Charles had reportedly been in a relationship with a “difficult older man” before her untimely death.
Viktor Krrashi, a friend of the party girl, said that she had been dating a man in his 50s for five months prior to her death.
"She had this new boyfriend in his early 50s who wasn't a nice guy," he told The Mirror.
"I don't think they were matched, it wasn't clear why she went with him."

Tara had been battling a brain tumour since January last year
It's claimed workmen renovating the apartment below Tara’s penthouse in London were alerted about her death after they heard her maid crying, minutes before she rung the flat's alarm.
The builders later revealed that they had not heard anything from Tara since Friday, when a "very loud bang" sounded from her property.
The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! contestant revealed in November that she had been battling a brain tumour after doctors discovered it in January last year.
Further tests showed the TV personality was also suffering from a rare auto-immune condition, related to her anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA-related), meaning abnormal antibodies attack the body's cells and tissues.
