Super Bowl 2017: ‘Best show in years’ Lady Gaga praised for NOT making political statement

At the beginning of her historic performance, the 30-year-old began with a rendition of God Bless America and The Land is Your Land which gave the piece a patriotic start.

The New-Yorker hasn’t been quiet over her feelings about President Donald Trump and was very open about being a big supporter of Hilary Clinton.

So it may have come as a surprise to some viewers that the singer didn’t directly address the presidency or his controversial suspended travel ban on seven Muslim majority countries.

Although these two song’s could be seen to be making a hidden dig at Trump, social media users thanked the star for the best performance in years that was politics free.

The singer put on a show-stopping performance at the Super Bowl

“Thank you Lady Gaga for keeping the Halftime Show strictly entertainment with no politics!!! It was Fabulous!!! #Gaga,” said one happy Twitter user.

Another wrote: “@ladygaga no need to make an overt political statement. Her very presence with compassion and love for all was a political statement. #SB51.”

“@ladygaga SB51 an amazing performance that was politics free, which made it all the better. Great job, best show in years. #ladygagarocked,” a third agreed ."

“Thanks Lady Gaga for a patriotic start to the halftime show. Very refreshing.” Added another.

Last year, Beyonce made a political statement with a performance of her single Formation at the Super Bowl.

Gaga put on a show-stopping performance where she flew into the stadium and performed all of her chart topping hits.
