Cavani, 29, was close to quitting PSG last summer for either Italy or the Premier League.
Arsenal were said to be interested in the striker, while Napoli had been linked after making £75million from the sale of Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus.
Cavani took up a role as centre-forward in the wake of Ibrahimovic leaving the club to join Manchester United on a free transfer.

"He has nothing to do with the decision, and anyway, we won together. We were not at odds but I need my space there up front," Cavani told Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
