Gerrard was set to play in an All Stars XI against a Manchester United '2008' team this Sunday at Old Trafford, but that will now not be happening.
The former England captain played in a BT Sport team against Hashtag United yesterday and damaged his hamstring whilst scoring a goal.
And it's fair to say Gerrard is not pleased to be missing the showcase occasion.
"We actually lost the game 12-9," he said on BT Sport.

"I managed to score a couple of goals, one of the lucky ones I hit I managed unfortunately to do my hamstring as I hit that one.
"I'm going to be out for two to three weeks unfortunately.
"I'm gutted, I love playing with Michael. He's a fantastic guy and an ex-team-mate of mine, but unfortunately I'm not going to be able to play in his testimonial at the weekend.

Sir Alex Ferguson and Harry Redknapp will manage the two sides on Sunday, with some footballing legends taking part.
Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard and Clarence Seedorf are just four of the star names on show, but Gerrard will not be one of them.
