Jurgen Klopp opted against signing anyone in the January transfer market despite Tiago Ilori leaving permanently and Mamadou Sakho joining Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the season.
The Liverpool boss admitted he was keen to do business in the transfer window, but only if the right player became available.
Instead, Klopp will now have to wait until the transfer window re-opens in July to bring in any new signings to Anfield.

Klopp has repeatedly said the Liverpool owners are fully behind him in the transfer market.
And Steven Gerrard believes Fenway Sports Group will delve into their pockets to bring in a host of new players in the summer.

"I think he will be backed. He doesn't want to go into the January transfer market because he doesn't want to waste his money on players that he wants that are maybe not available," Gerrard told BT Sport.
"But come the summer I think you'll see four or five additions to this squad and they will be stronger next year."
