Liverpool’s legendary leader officially returned to the club this month as an academy coach.
And having turned down the opportunity to take charge at MK Dons earlier in the season, Gerrard is now beginning his new career.
The Anfield icon is open to the propsect of one day becoming manager at Liverpool.

But for now he is backing Jurgen Klopp and looking to gain as much experience as possible at Melwood.
"There's no rush, no timescale," Gerrard told BBC Sport.
"The silly thing for me would be to rush and go in when I'm not ready.
"I've got incredible people around me and hopefully in the future there'll be some exciting opportunities.

Steven Gerrard is working at the Liverpool academy, ranging from the Under-23s to Under-17s
"I've a lot of dreams and aspirations to be the best I can be in terms of coaching and management – but we'll have to wait and see if I'm going to be good enough."
Gerrard has attended many Liverpool games since coming back to Merseyside after his playing days finished at LA Galaxy.
And his focus is now on helping the club’s youth stars progress into Jurgen Klopp’s first team.
