Stan Collymore questions Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham's squad depth

Arsenal currently sit second in the table – eight points behind Chelsea – with Tottenham and Liverpool occupying the rest of the top four spots.

But Collymore has questioned the depth of their squads.

The pundit reckons Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp have tried to be 'too clever' with limited senior players.

Stan Collymore says Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino have been 'too clever' with their squads

And the former Liverpool striker believes Gunners chief Arsene Wenger has struggled to get his squad size right for the past 20 years.

"Pochettino has tried to be too clever by having a very small squad," Collymore told BoyleSports.

"Klopp has been too clever thinking he has all the answers in the academy.

"Arsene is Arsene, there’s no good factual reason to prove that in 20 years Arsenal have had enough cover."

But Collymore reckons league leaders Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United – in fifth and sixth place – prepared well for the season.

He added: "[They are] the only three clubs – whether they are playing well, poorly or middling – that have completed the most basic requirement for a top four Premier League club."
